Guest Wanny Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Hi there, Did anyone see those Mondeo wheels on ebay of a MkIII 5 stud, does anyone know if these fit the MK1 Gal's ? Quote
Guest dumpie Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 can any 1 ansa this cuz ive found a wicked set of 18in mondeo alloy identicle 2 my 16in gear alloys ford want Quote
Guest nimrod Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 You need to know the PCD of the mondeo wheels and the offset? the PCD of a galaxy is 112X5 the offfset (ET) i'm not sure about! i believe it to be either ET59 for 7X15/16'' or ET54 for 7X17'' any wider and i'm not sure what you could get away with? Take off one of your wheels and the figures you need will be cast into the back of the rim, the ET figure will change though depending on the width of the mondeo rims! Quote
Guest dumpie Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 the mondeo wheels are 8x18 cud u fit a spacer i no the 7x16 galaxy wheels u can just get ya fingers behind thats with 215x16 55s the tyres id put on the 8x18s would be 215x18 45s then drop the car 50mm would this work ? or would i be better off deffin the mondeos & stickin with 7x18s ? its the price Quote
Guest nimrod Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 you probably could get away with a spacer but getting one the correct size to adjust for the offset and with the correct size center bore may be hard? best to contact a specialist shop and ask there advice before splashing the cash! Guest dumpie Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 :o 1 day left im gonna stop watchin em Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 I recogn those are Galaxy 16" ones - the Mondeo ones do not have the plastic centre bits with the Ford logo, but instead have exposed bolt holes. Quote
Guest nimrod Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 but ford dont do 18'' rims for the galaxy, but they do for the mondeo iirc and these are advertised as 18'' rims? Quote

Guest Wanny Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 dumpie, are you sure the stud pattern is the same ... Doing a little research I found that the Gal's wheels have a PCD of 112x5 and that Mondeo's have a PCD of 108x5 ? Quote
Guest nimrod Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 I believe the PCD for the mondeo is 108X5 with an offset of 35-42 and a center bore of 63.3 the Galaxy is PCD 112X5 with an offset of 42-45 and a center bore of 57.06 again this changes i believe through out the different manufacturers the sharan offset is 35-40 and the alhamra's is 35-38 this is due to the different styles of wheel each company fit this info was gathered from several websties that deal in alloy wheels so i cant guarantee its 100% accurate! The Galaxy PCD is the same as the VW Passat, transporter, Audi A4, A6, A8, S2, S6 and 100 as well as a few Mercedes including the SLK, 190, 300, 320 CE-24 and the 500E but the Mercedes center bore is bigger at 66.56 this info is taken from the spec sheet for my alloys Quote
